In our insecure world, many of us struggle to feel safe and secure. We latch onto relationships, careers, bank accounts or possessions hoping they will provide stability. But Scripture warns that finding ultimate security in anything other than Christ leads to disappointment.

True security is found when we put our complete trust in Jesus. He promises, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand” (John 10:28). When we surrender our lives fully to Christ, we are safe in His hands and nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39).

Believing this truth frees us from fear and anxiety. We don’t have to worry about the unknowns of tomorrow, because we know Jesus holds our future. He promises His faithful presence and strength for each day. As Psalm 16:5 assures us, “Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.”

We can also feel secure in knowing God will complete the work He began in us. Philippians 1:6 declares, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” When doubts, weaknesses and struggles arise, remember that the Holy Spirit is transforming you to be more like Christ.

As you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus today, pray Paul’s words in Colossians 2:6-7 – “Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him.” When your security is fully grounded in Christ, you are positioned to thrive with stability and strength.
